πανήγυρις, -εως, ἡ (< πᾶς + ἄγυρας = ἀγορά), [in LXX: Ho 2:11 (13) 9:5, Ez 46:11 (מוֹעֵד H4150), Am 5:21 (עֲצָרָה H6116)*;] prop., a national festal assembly in honour of a god; hence, generally, any festal assembly: He 12:23 (for exx. in π., v. MM, xviii).†
