συκάμινος, -ου, ἡ [in LXX for שִׁקְמָה H8256 (pl.) ;] the mulberry tree (Lat. morus; cf. μόρον, I Mac 6:34 *), the sycamine: Lk 17:6. (In LXX, σ. appears to represent the συκόμορος (v.s. συκομορέα), but St. Luke distinguishes between the two; v. ICC, in l.; DB, iv, 634.) †
